The girl was raised by her mother and her partner, Kurt Russell. Kate stated that her biological father doesn’t know her from a hole in the wall and that she considers Russell to be her father. She also talked about her mom as ‘the woman I learned the most from and who I always look up to’.

In 1997, she graduated from the preparatory school of Santa Monica College. The girl always wanted to become an actress.
