Trina Turk
Trina Turk, who divides her time between Los Angeles and Palm Springs, carefully applies bright colors and bold graphic prints to her designs. Modern women’s line and her menswear brand Mr. Turk, as well as the home decor line, radiate the sunny lifestyle of Los Angeles, combining it with bright glamor. The open femininity of the designer’s clothes is reflected in her flagship store in Los Angeles. Filled with rosy tones and illuminated by bubble pendant lamps, the interior creates the feeling of being in a glass of pink champagne.
Rodarte
This brand was developed by sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy. Their story is the biggest high fashion success story in Los Angeles. Their art in clothes is like couture. Designer clothes receive a great amount of positive reviews in the fashion industry. The sisters have numerous nominations and awards from the Council of Fashion Designers of America. They have also successfully collaborated with Target and Gap in the distribution of clothing lines. The brand’s clothes are not for shy people. Some of the designer duo’s more comfortable pieces have been worn by celebrities such as Natalie Portman and Elle Fanning.

7 For All Mankind
It was one of the first premium denim lines to emerge in the early 2000s. The brand’s signature graphic on the back pocket became a huge hit with LA women. It was awesomely combined with high heels on the streets of the city. The brand gained momentum and expanded its range. They create men’s and women’s clothing, shoes and accessories. Their signature denim comes in all colors, prints and decorations, such as metallic faux leather, glossy faux snakeskin and more.

ESQUIVEL
Los Angeles is not necessarily associated with high fashion. Some designers strive to create their products using Old World techniques. One such traditionalist is CFDA nominee George Esquivel. His handmade shoes grace the pages of fashion magazines and the feet of celebrities. His favorite client is Janelle Monáe. In the assortment of the brand, you can find men’s and women’s shoes of various styles, such as oxfords, boots and sandals with painted, polished or woven details. You can also create custom-made shoes in the designer’s studio.

MONIQUE LHUILLIER
The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising graduate Monique Lhuillier came up with the idea for a bridal collection when she was faced with a lack of options when looking for her own wedding dress. She is now one of the most popular designers in bridal, evening and couture wear. The designer chose a special place to create her dresses, downtown Los Angeles, to be inspired by the city and its beautiful inhabitants. Romanticism, modern glamor and refined sexuality are features of the designer’s clothes.

SKAIST TAYLOR
Gela Nash-Taylor and Pamela Skaist-Levy started a revolution when they started popularizing tracksuits through their first fashion line, Juicy Couture. All Juicy Couture products are made with the company’s signature logo – two highland terriers holding a shield with three hearts. The crown rests on top along with the Juicy Couture banner. The brand also has several different color tags that match different items of clothing.

Since then, they have created different clothes and changed the vector to create sophisticated clothing models. They describe the brand’s aesthetic as California eccentric, but the line is much more accessible than that blunt tagline might suggest. Leather leggings, plunging dresses and fur-collared coats are the cornerstone of the collection, designed with edgy urban minimalism in mind.
This modern fashion brand offers stylish, high-quality clothing for the modern woman. Focusing on timeless silhouettes and luxurious fabrics, the brand creates pieces that are both fashionable and comfortable. From classic blazers to cozy sweaters, designers have created clothes for every occasion.
RACHEL ZOE
The fashion line of this brand is only a few years old. However, during this time, the famous stylist, reality show star and designer has already become a fashion icon. Long before cameras followed her every move on Bravo Media’s The Rachel Zoe Project, she was building her signature brand for bohemian glamor clients like Anne Hathaway and Cameron Diaz. Hollywood continues to follow her style. The brand’s clothes can be seen on Hollywood stars both in everyday life and on red carpets.

JAMES PERSE
Born in the design dynasty, Perse perfected the simple basics of a lifestyle. The boy’s father owns the prestigious Maxfield boutique. Ironically, sports brought James into fashion. Obsessed with baseball caps, he could never find one that was well designed, with quality construction, shape, fabric and color.
In 1994, he launched a line of T-shirts that quickly gained a loyal following. Then, customers were looking for a combination of luxury and everyday life. In 1996, James launched his first eponymous collection of women’s knitwear, which soon evolved into two collections. These were Standard James Perse for high-quality goods and James Perse Los Angeles ready-wear items, including jackets, sweaters, trousers and dresses. In 1998, the brand launched a line for babies and children.

His passion for Los Angeles architecture has influenced his casual clothing style and led to his personal design philosophy and aesthetic. The designer’s clothes are created according to simple but refined models. Thus, a white cotton shirt from this brand can cost almost $100. The designer’s fans believe that these beautifully tailored, loose-fitting tees are worth the price.
BAND OF OUTSIDERS
Scott Sternberg’s famous brand has amassed a local following, from famous actors who appear in its campaigns (Andrew Garfield, Marisa Tomei and Kirsten Dunst) to East Side hipsters. His menswear is sleek, clean-cut and has a vintage feel, including tailored blazers and trench coats, plaid button-downs and grandfather-style cardigans. Somehow, it feels modern. The women’s collection has the same elegant style. The brand’s clothes are easy to recognize among others.

MAX AZRIA
The designer moved to the US in 1981, after developing a womenswear collection in Paris for 11 years. First, he launched a new concept retail chain called Jess. Then, he launched BCBGMAXAZRIA, combining European sophistication with American spirit. Having founded BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP, he was one of the main fashion magnates of Los Angeles. The designer headed the youthful, accessible brand BCBGMAXAZRIA. It is sold in 570 boutiques of the same name. The brand also has the Max Azria Atelier couture and Herve Leger lines. They started the trend of clothing that reproduces all the lines of the body.
